About Us

Mindfulness Support Service is a not for profit Community Interest Company (CIC), with two primary aims of preventing and reducing domestic abuse and its effects and supporting staff who work with families, children and vulnerable adults. We achieve this by delivering courses and workshops on Mindfulness practice.

MSS provides tools, methods and resources to support individuals and families who have been affected by abuse and violence. MSS offers  one or two day training in mindfulness to people engaged in public service. We provide courses covering Mindfulness, Meditation and reflective practices. Participants of our courses can use the tools in their daily life.

The Mindfulness Support Service is the first service of its kind in the UK to adopt this holistic, preventative approach for the benefit of children, families and perpetrators of domestic abuse.

Over recent years, crime surveys show that the prevalence of domestic abuse continues. The number of cases recorded by police continues to increase. Data shows that there needs to be a dramatic increase in effective, targeted preventative work to reduce domestic abuse/violence. It is for this reason that Mindfulness Support Service has been formed.

Mindfulness Support Service currently operates across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
